LEARN ABOUT OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS

The Pet Adoption Center

Our adoption center is a safe haven for dogs and cats in need, providing compassionate care while they wait for loving homes. Located in Webster, TX, we focus on rescuing pets from local municipal shelters, caring for medical cases, and supporting our community through adoption, education, and outreach. Whether you're looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, or just stop by and say hello, our doors are open! No appointment needed.

Not Looking to Adopt? Come See Us Anyway!

CAT CAFE
SPONSORED BY UOFFICE

Grab a coffee, snack and cuddle a cat! Our cozy Cat Café, generously sponsored by UOffice, is the purr-fect place to relax with adoptable cats in a welcoming, home-like setting. Whether you're looking to adopt or just need a dose of feline affection, the café offers a unique way to connect with our rescue cats while supporting their care. Come sip, snuggle, and stay awhile!

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Our volunteers are the heart of Lifeline of Galveston County. From walking dogs and socializing cats to helping at events and supporting daily operations, there’s a role for everyone. Whether you have a few hours a week or just want to help occasionally, volunteering with us is a rewarding way to make a real difference in the lives of local pets. Join our team and be part of something lifesaving!

INTERNSHIPS

Our internship program offers hands-on experience for students and aspiring animal welfare professionals. Interns work alongside our team to learn about animal care, adoptions, medical support, and nonprofit operations. It’s a great opportunity to build skills, make a difference, and explore a future in rescue. Open to motivated individuals age 15 and up—apply today and start your journey in animal welfare!

PET SLEEPOVERS

Looking for a fun way to help a shelter pet? Our Pet Sleepover Program lets you take a dog or cat (6 months and older) home for a night or two any day of the week. For pets under 6 months, sleepovers are available on Sundays. It’s a great way to give our pets a break from the adoption center, learn more about their personality, and enjoy some extra cuddles at home. If you are not interested in adopting, but just want some furry company for the weekend, we make it easy!
