Court-Ordered Community Service

Lifeline of Galveston County welcomes individuals fulfilling court-ordered community service hours. Our goal is to provide a productive and supportive environment while ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. Please review the guidelines below before joining us:  

Schedule and Requirements  

  • Hours of Service: Community service hours are available seven days a week. You must arrive between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.  

  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive after 9:00 AM, you will be turned away for the day.  

  • Age Requirement: Individuals under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.  

  • Tasks: Duties will include cleaning kennels and dishes, which are vital to maintaining our facility's cleanliness and functionality.  


Eligibility  

  • Accepted Charges: We do not accept individuals with violent charges for community service.  

  • Court Approval: It is your responsibility to check with your court or probation officer to ensure completing hours at our facility meets your requirements.

  • Required Documentation: Please bring any necessary documentation from the court to verify your service requirements.  


Important Information  

  • Tracking Hours: It is your responsibility to track your own hours accurately. We will confirm the hours you complete but will not maintain records on your behalf.
