Foster a Pet

Fosters provide a temporary home for pets in Lifeline of Galveston County's care while they are awaiting their forever home.

Want to foster dogs and cats?
Awesome! Just choose one application to start. We’ll ask about all the types of pets you're open to fostering within it.

***IMPORTANT NOTE***: Our foster and sleepover programs are meant to provide pets with a temporary break from the center. They are NOT trial adoptions.

If you're considering adoption, we completely understand wanting to be sure it is the right fit. That is why we offer a 2-week money-back guarantee for adopted pets and always take our pets back no matter how much time has passed.

Why Foster?

Even with our adoption center, many pets still need foster homes, especially those recovering from illness, too young for adoption, or just needing a quieter space. Fostering helps us save more lives beyond the walls of our center.
