Foster Program Update!

We’re in urgent need of dog fosters, even short-term, like a weekend sleepover, or one to two weeks! We have so many sweet dogs waiting for a safe place to land, and just a short stay can save a life.

​🐕 Dogs Needing Fosters Right Now:

• Frosty – Frosty is a potty-trained good boy with an adopter waiting in California! This is our first time coordinating an out-of-state adoption, and we just need a foster to keep him safe until he travels (coming up soon!).

• Eugene – A total dreamboat! He's done amazing in past foster homes and has been overlooked at the center for too long. He deserves a break (and a yard to run around in!).

• Ruby – We expect to pull this sweet mama soon from her 8 pups, who already have lots of adoption interest. Ruby needs some time to gain weight and decompress  and foster care is the best way to do that.

• Remi – This stunning girl’s current fosters are going out of town in July. She’s looking for a short-term place to crash while they’re away.

💡 Even if you can only help for a few days, that gives us time to move pets out of the shelter and avoid overcrowding.

You can use it to:

• Schedule vaccine and sick appointments (yes, we have sick appointments 7 days a week!)

• Access resources like handbooks & information on what to do if you find an adopter for your pet. 

⚠️ A Note About Admin Support

We currently have no administrative staff. Response times on texts and calls will be slower than usual, and we truly appreciate your patience. Please use the app for anything time-sensitive like medical concerns or appointment scheduling. It will help you get what you need much faster. Also remember, we have staff on-site 7am-7pm Tuesday through Sunday, and at least 7am-11am on Monday. You are always welcome to come by.

If you currently have a pet in foster care, don’t forget that we provide monthly flea and heartworm prevention for all fosters.
