Impact Story: Spartacus

Spartacus 1 : Ringworm 0!

Spartacus stole the hearts of Lifeline staff the moment we saw his photo at a local shelter (top left). In many municipal shelters, ringworm can be a death sentence. This is not because it’s deadly, but because it’s highly contagious and difficult to manage.

But we knew there was a family out there willing to take a chance on this little guy.

Within 24 hours, Spartacus was in a foster home. The Moody family committed to his care for months. They gave daily oral medication, regular medicated baths, and brought him to multiple appointments (all covered by Lifeline).

And it paid off.

After weeks of treatment, Spartacus was officially cleared of ringworm. We finalized his adoption with his incredible foster family, completed all of his kitten vaccines, microchipped him, and got him neutered at Fix Ur Pet.

Today, Spartacus is thriving as a beloved member of the Moody family, and they still keep in touch with us.

Just look at that handsome boy now.

Where does my donation go?

Your donation goes directly toward lifesaving medical care for pets in Lifeline’s program.

Many of the animals we take in need treatment before they can be safely adopted. This includes everything from antibiotics and vaccines to more advanced care like ringworm treatment, surgeries, and emergency vet visits. These are often the pets most at risk in shelters.

Your support helps cover:

Veterinary exams and diagnostics
Medications and ongoing treatment
Spay/neuter and vaccinations
Emergency and specialty care when needed

Because of donors like you, we’re able to say yes to pets who might not otherwise get a chance.
