We understand sometimes things happen, and you have to surrender a pet.
While we will accept owner surrenders into our program, the pet would need to stay with you until an adopter is found or we have space at our adoption center which can sometimes take several months.
Our team will conduct a brief assessment at our in-person exam to determine if we can help you.
Please complete one of the following applications & check your email to schedule an assessment.

If you adopted the pet from us, please contact us directly to schedule an assessment by calling/texting 409-797-6033 or emailing us at [email protected]. While we will ALWAYS take pets that were adopted from us back, we still need you to schedule an assessment & drop off with our team.
As a reminder, Lifeline of Galveston County is NOT an open-intake facility. We NEVER take owner surrenders same day.
Please do not show up at our facility with a pet expecting to drop them off.
If you are having an animal emergency or need
immediate shelter for a pet, you need to call your local animal control agency.
