Welcome to Cat-fe Hours at the Pet Adoption Center!
It is about more than just enjoying a cup of coffee and spending time with adorable furry friends when you participate in our Cafe Hours. The Pet Adoption Center is run by Lifeline of Galveston County. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of animals in Galveston County. Our mission is simple but powerful: to reach a time where pets in our county are not dying in shelters simply because there is no space for them.
All of the pets you'll meet at Cafe Hours have been rescued off the streets of Galveston County or taken in from local municipal animal shelters. By providing them a safe and loving environment, we give these animals a second chance at finding their forever homes.
Our furry residents include a delightful assortment of cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies. Each and every pet at the center is adoptable, and many can also be fostered. We believe in finding the perfect match between humans and animals, creating lifelong bonds and happy homes.
We welcome visitors of all ages to our cafe hours, but we kindly ask that all kids be accompanied by an adult. The well-being and safety of our guests, both human and animal, are of utmost importance to us.
In our commitment to providing the best experience for our patrons, we have partnered with the amazing artisan coffee and donut shop, Blackline Coffee & Donuts, conveniently located across the street at 203 East Nasa Parkway. They are open until 3pm daily. As a special treat, when you show a copy of your event ticket on your phone or bring a printed copy, you'll receive a complimentary donut of your choice with the purchase of any beverage at Blackline Coffee & Donuts. It's a way of saying thank you for supporting our cause and joining us in our mission to save lives.
