We’re excited to introduce you to Darla, our new Volunteer Coordinator! Darla will be your go-to person for all things volunteer-related—she’ll be checking the volunteer email, helping new volunteers get started, and supporting those looking to take on bigger roles at Lifeline of Galveston County. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the volunteer experience, we’re launching our Elite Volunteer Program for those who want to make an even bigger impact with a more consistent commitment. We’re working on some special swag for Elite Volunteers—stay tuned!

Elite Volunteer Opportunities 

If you're looking for a way to contribute beyond standard shifts, the Elite Volunteer Program offers:

✅ Work-from-home roles, especially supporting our dog matchmaking program (helping pets find their perfect homes!)
✅ Hands-on assessments for medical and behavioral evaluations in Webster and Texas City
✅ Re-occurring Morning or Evening Animal Care Shifts, commit to one shift a week and gain skills in advanced animal care as you grow in the program.
